Emerging from the heart of Dumaguete, Negros Oriental, Krokis has swiftly carved a niche within the vibrant reggae scene. Originally starting as an acoustic ensemble of four musically inclined individuals in 2022, the group’s sound and membership evolved over time, officially forming in February 2023. Krokis, with its rich reggae rhythm and soulful melodies, reflects the dynamic blend of traditional and contemporary influences that the band embodies. As the vocalist and singer-songwriter at the helm, the lead member’s vision has steered Krokis through its musical journey, culminating in the release of their first single “Labhit” in August 2023.

The band boasts a diverse lineup, including Yuyu on drums, Ownil with his electrifying lead guitar, Joey anchoring the rhythm on bass, and Kim weaving intricate patterns on the keyboard. The brass section adds a layer of depth and warmth, with Libby on trombone, Gani blowing the saxophone, and Budoi rounding off the ensemble with the trumpet. Together, they create a sound that is unmistakably Krokis – a testament to their collective talent and passion for reggae music.
